The Mode Collective Fashion Show
The Mode Collective, organised by local Leicester fashion designer Millie Victoria, hosted an all-day fashion show and pop-up shop event at the Leicester Athena. The event was divided into a day and evening segment, each offering a unique fashion experience.
The morning session featured a vibrant pop-up shop showcasing the creations of local East Midlands fashion designers and artists. This marketplace buzzed with excitement until the afternoon, leading into a small preview of the evening runway show. Collaborating closely with Millie and models from across the UK who travelled for this event, we meticulously organised the walk-through. Ensuring each model knew their positions for standing and posing during their final shots, we used practical methods like tape to mark where models should stop and stand. This approach demonstrated professionalism and consistency throughout the event.
The evening segment of the event was a high-profile affair, attracting esteemed guests and VIP clients from LCBC Depo, as well as media coverage from ITV. The evening began with a reception featuring drinks and networking opportunities, allowing guests and clients to mingle and find their seats.
The main event commenced with opening acts from local Leicester talent, showcasing their support and promoting other designers. The runway show highlighted stunning collections from designers such as Heart of Hearts, Barcode, Denovo Apparel, and of course, the host and organiser, Millie Victoria of Millie Victoria Designs.
The evening concluded with a buffet provided by The Athena staff, offering guests a delightful culinary experience. Interviews were conducted with models and designers, providing insights into their inspirations and experiences at the event. Each designer shared their unique vision, contributing to the rich tapestry of the fashion show.
